Pneurissa Stamps M.S.

Pneurissa has extensive experience working with all ages and populations including relationships, trauma, intellectual disabilities, psychosis, and crisis. She has worked in residential, hospitals, private practice, and in-house counseling. Pneurissa has facilitated parenting education, couples, groups, family, and substance use therapy, and has taught counseling courses as well as developed curriculum. She is currently in the dissertation process with hopes of having her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision in the spring of 2020.

Pnuerissa truly believes that everything that has happened in her life is there for a purpose which should not be thought of as a mistake, but rather an experience that will bring wisdom, strength, and growth as an individual

Her approach includes her unique integrated style of counseling which allows her to help clients get an individualized treatment. This approach accommodates their learning style and perception as they go through their process at their own capacity. She has worked with culturally diverse populations using music, art, movies, role-play, and experiential therapy.

Her ideal client can be different and host various challenges that reflect on who they are today. Their issues and needs can only be met when they are willing to put forth the effort towards reaching their goals. She enjoys a challenge and as long as the client is willing to participate and put in the effort towards their treatment, she believes together they can work out a plan for success.
