Reid is a Mental Health Counselor here at Counseling Speaks who completed a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. Prior to graduate school, Reid earned a B.A. in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Reid first entered the mental health field in 2017 as an intern at Willow House, a counseling agency specializing in providing mental health services to individuals and families experiencing grief and loss due to the death of a loved one. Additionally, he spent four summers counseling children and adolescents at a wilderness overnight camp. Reid’s clinical interests include mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, emotional concerns, and life transitions. As a counselor, Reid utilizes a holistic approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered and Solution-Focused theoretical orientations. Reid uses a collaborative approach, believing that each client holds the key to their own success; and guiding them to identify solutions and implement a course of action to help achieve their goals.

He believes during this unprecedented moment in history, it is more important than ever for individuals to recognize their own strengths and limitations, and feel comfortable reaching out for help if they are in need. Taking the time to check in with oneself as well as loved ones is more important now than ever before. If you are in need of mental health services or support in general, do not hesitate to reach out and contact

His approach includes utilizing a holistic and collaborative approach, he believes that each client holds the key to their own success; and his role is to simply guide them to identify solutions and implement a course of action to help achieve their goals. Please feel free to reach out with any inquiries, questions, or concerns.

His ideal client is an individual (likely an adolescent or young adult) that is seeking help for interpersonal/emotional issues they may be facing, such as anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship troubles.
